DescriptionSeeking Full-Time Certified English Teacher for 2026-2027ELA grades 4-8 or certificate in English 6-12Starting Salary: $59,149/year + Additional Compensation for higher certification levelsSchedule: M-F 8-5pmDevereux Georgia provides intensive residential treatment in a secure setting for youth, ages 10 to 21, who are facing significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Our beautiful campus located in a serene, wooded setting offers a swimming pool, volleyball court, tennis court, playing field, lake and playground, which allow our youth the opportunity to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities.+ More information on our programs.Within our secure treatment setting, we provide an on-campus, K-12 accredited school, Ackerman Academy. Our school is designed to help students achieve academic success with an individualized curriculum and low teacher-to-student ratio.Modified School Schedule:Teachers follow a modified district calendar. Our teachers work additional days during Fall and Winter Breaks, as well as 15 days during May/June for Summer Enrichment. One note of difference is during inclement weather, our staff are expected to report to work (keeping in mind safety), while some districts may have either Virtual Learning or School Closure.
