Responsibilities/QualificationsAs a Shift Supervisor at Pet Supplies Plus, you will inspire and engage with our customers and their pets. You will provide exceptional service during every shift, including: Helping customers choose the perfect toy for their favorite pet. Greeting regular shoppers and their pets, making their visit memorable. Guiding young customers in taking care of their pets, such as teaching them how to test water in a fish tank. Modeling outstanding service for your team members. Supporting team leaders in daily operations and performance tracking. Engaging with our community and spreading smiles. The key responsibilities of a Shift Supervisor include: Collaborating with store team leaders to ensure our store standards are met. Providing leadership coverage and performing management functions when team leaders are unavailable. Upholding operational policies to ensure the best customer experience. Learning back-office procedures such as updating prices and managing sales records. Participating in recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members. Identifying ways to enhance community engagement and store performance. Stepping in to assist customers and team members when needed. To be a successful candidate, you should have:A high school diploma or GED. At least 2 years of retail experience. Skills in Microsoft Office applications. Strong sales and customer service abilities. The capability to operate necessary equipment, including a forklift, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
