Transportation Specialist for Residential Facility

DescriptionPosition at Mount Sinai WellnessFull Time - Transportation SpecialistThe Transportation Specialist or Van Driver is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of facility appointments, and the arranging and scheduling transportation to the Bus station, airport, health services appointments, and when available, appointments requested by facility/supervisor.Mount Sinai Wellness Center is committed to helping people achieve lasting sobriety through comprehensive care and compassionate support. At Mount Sinai Wellness Center, we are helping people make that future a reality by showing them the benefits of sobriety and empowering them to find fulfillment in their lives after treatment.Responsibilities:Responsible for arranging and scheduling transportation to the bus station, airport, appointments requested from health services, and appointments requested from facility/supervisor.Ensures that each client requiring transportation receives safe transportation, and understands the purpose for all departments.Coordinates transportation services for all departments.Transport clients to and from appointments/new admissions, etc.Helps out with any transport needs when available.Consistent completion of van usage logs and driver daily van inspection checklists.Van maintenance including cleaning and preventative maintenance.Errands as required by the facility.Adheres to facility confidentiality policies and procedures.Ensures all passengers in vehicle are wearing seat belts and adhere to no smoking or eating policy in facility vehicle.Qualifications:Experience working in residential treatment, or working with individuals with multiple conditions.The Van Driver must be sensitive, receptive, and mature enough to be neither upset by the residents, nor cause the residents further adjustment difficulties.The Van Driver must be able to make positive use of professional supervision, function effectively in an interdisciplinary team approach, and participate in, and profit from in-service and on-the job training.The Van Driver must maintain an attitude toward interactions with clients that is objective, free from personal bias; one that allows for perspective and flexibility in observing groups and individual behavior patterns.Current First Aid and CPR training or complete within first 30 days of hire.Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.Benefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(K)Generous paid time off accrualExcellent growth and development opportunitiesSatisfying and rewarding work striving to overcome the opioid epidemicHere is what you can expect from us:Mount Sinai Wellness Center a progressive substance abuse treatment organization is committed to the highest quality of patient care.
