After applying, you will receive next steps via email.Company DescriptionYoung College Prep is a college admissions consulting company supporting high-achieving students in gaining admission to top universities and securing significant merit scholarships.To date, our team has supported 600+ students across the U.S. and internationally, helping families earn over $5M in merit scholarships and gain admission to highly selective universities.As we continue to grow, we are expanding our team of advisors to support an increasing number of students through a high-touch, strategy-driven coaching model.Role DescriptionWe are hiring part-time College Admissions Advisors to work directly with high school students on academic strategy, standardized testing, extracurricular development, and the college application process.This is a student-facing coaching role for individuals with strong admissions insight, the ability to build rapport quickly with students, and a desire to make a meaningful impact. This role is remote with flexible scheduling.Key Responsibilities Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions with students (typically 30-minute sessions)Guide students on: Academic planning and course selection, SAT/ACT preparation strategy, Extracurricular development, College narrative strategy, and Essay writingCollege list strategy and application positioningProvide clear, actionable feedback and next steps after each sessionComplete post-session notes and prepare for upcoming sessionsCollaborate with the coaching team on student strategy and progressQualificationsRequiredUndergraduate or graduate degree from a Top 20 university OR Professional experience working in admissions at a highly selective universityStrong academic background (high GPA and SAT/ACT performance preferred)Demonstrated success navigating competitive college admissions (personally or professionally)Experience working with high school students (teaching, tutoring, mentorship, advising, etc.)Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex conceptsStrong organizational and time management skillsAvailability for at least 10 hours/week of live coaching sessionsPreferredPrior experience in college admissions consulting or advisingExperience supporting students with essays, applications, or test prepAbility to engage and motivate high-achieving students CompensationCoaching Rate: $75–$100/hour (live student sessions)Administrative Rate: $25–$35/hour (session prep, notes, team meetings)Typical monthly earnings range from $1,500–$2,500+, depending on availability and student load.Interview ProcessOur hiring process includes:Initial Zoom interview with the Founder, Janae YoungPaid evaluation tasks (e.g., essay feedback, extracurricular feedback, problem-solving)All evaluation work is compensated at our administrative rate.How to ApplyPlease email your resume and a brief introduction outlining your experience in college admissions or student advising to: .After submitting your application, you will receive a follow-up email with next steps.
