Candidates must have current work authorization in one of these countries as sponsorship cannot be provided.This Opportunity:Collectively, GISI CG provides project management, environmental permitting and engineering services to more than 45 energy utility clients across North America. GISI CG is now expanding its services into utility consulting and advisory work to allow it to better serve its clients. Accordingly, this EOI is intended to identify experienced energy utility leaders and subject-matter experts who may be interested in practice leadership, business development, consulting, or advisory roles to build out our utility consulting practice in collaboration with other GICI CG companies, such as Hill International and GEI.The North American energy sector is facing unprecedented pressures related to reliability, affordability, load growth, asset condition, regulatory scrutiny, and infrastructure investment. Our practice - as part of GISI CG family - will support utilities in navigating these challenges through practical, utility-grounded advisory and delivery services. Indicative areas of focus will include:System Planning, Reliability and Resource Portfolio Optimization Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and long-term system planningResource adequacy and capacity planning under uncertaintyFuel diversity and portfolio risk managementPlanning for evolving load profiles, electrification, and large customers Grid Modernization and System Performance Transmission and distribution planning and investment prioritizationDistribution system planning (DSP) and hosting capacity analysisReliability, resilience, and storm hardening strategiesOperational performance improvement and system analytics Digital & Technology EnablementUtility digital transformation and IT/OT integrationAdvanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and grid data platformsDecision-support tools for planning, operations, and investmentCybersecurity and operational technology risk This role offers a unique chance to contribute to a leading, values-driven organization dedicated to serving its clients with excellence. We are deeply committed to your ongoing professional growth, providing continuous learning opportunities and supporting your personal and career development.We are particularly interested in mid-to-senior professionals with: 10+ years of energy utility experience gained through working at a North American power utility or a utility consulting firmBachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business, or related field; advanced certifications in energy regulation or strategy are a plusDemonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder utility initiativesDeep understanding of regulatory frameworks, utility economics, and operating environmentsStrong commercial judgment, client-facing skills, and leadership presenceEntrepreneurial spirit exhibited through hustle, grit & resilience: flexibility to do whatever it takes, comfort with risk and the unknownHigh level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges Preferred Qualifications:Existing relationships with key utility accountsExperience in capital portfolio optimizationMultinational experience and ability to navigate diverse cultural and regulatory environments EOIs will be accepted on a rolling basis.
