Temporary Seasonal Grounds Laborer

Performs a variety of maintenance functions, which vary by division and may include mowing, raking, trimming, painting, delivering materials, watering, applying bark mulch, weeding, sweeping, trash removal, brush removal, washing vehicles and equipment and other support functions* Must be capable of continuous physical activity including lifting objects up to 60 pounds, climbing ladders, moving equipment and furnishings and mowing, raking, and shoveling materials.* Capable of performing a variety of grounds maintenance support functions including trimming, pruning, painting, mowing, cutting, general cleaning, watering, raking, washing vehicles and equipment, and digging.* Must be familiar with basic hand and power tools including mechanical and carpentry tools, garden tools, power and hand, lawn mowers, blowers, sweepers, trimmers, saws, and spreaders.* Must be capable of following detailed verbal and written instructions and be able to communicate orally in writing.* Performs other labor support functions as assigned and directed* Must possess a valid driver license and be able to drive small trucks or vans.The Town of Andover is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
