A partner with the Jewish United Fund in serving our community Essential Functions and Duties The Clinical Educator is a professional nurse who provides consultation to nursing personnel and conducts and coordinates educational experiences. The responsibilities encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical skills development, in-services and continuing education programs at the Unit and/or Department level. The Clinical Educator possesses the clinical skills necessary to provide expert opinion and guidance to a select group of patients. The Nursing Education Clinical Coordinator keeps current bedside skills through regular patient care activities and assignments. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. ADN required, BSN preferred. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of clinical experience. Currently working in a clinical capacity. Ability to function in a clinical leadership or charge nurse capacity. New hire and New Graduate Preceptor experience. Experienced leadership in the management of complex changing patient conditions . REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATION: Current licensure in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse. CPR certification is required. ACLS certification is recommended. Certification in specialty areas desirable.
