Crew Member - Commercial Grounds Maintenance

Job DescriptionJob PurposeThe Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Member performs hands-on landscape maintenance tasks while supporting the Foreman in daily operations. This role helps maintain outdoor spaces by completing routine grounds work, safely operating equipment, and assisting with crew training and jobsite organization. CGM Crew Member responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist Foreman in training and instruction on all aspects of landscape grounds management services Digging, planting, raking, watering and clean up of landscapes Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks Collection of company owned equipment and tools at the end of the day Safe operation of the following equipment: Mowers - push, walk-behind and riding Tillers, aerators, slit seeders (On occasion wheel tractors) Edger, string trimmers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers Backpack sprayers and blowers Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools Pay/Benefits Package$16.00 - $18.00 BCBS Health Insurance including Vision/Dental 40 hours (PTO) Paid Time Off Annually Company Matched 401K Required SkillsAbility to lift to 50 pounds on a routine basis Ability to bend and stoop continually Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks Must be able to work with minimal supervision Must wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPE Must present yourself in a professional, polite manner Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required Have a valid state driver's license and maintain a good driving record (Preferred)Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be willing to obtain a state pesticide applicator license (if available). Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others Must comply with Bland's policies and procedures Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
