WE ACCEPT ALL.Now interviewing for a Residential Admissions Technician position!Must live in IndianaAspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive "whole health" services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.Position SummaryThis Residential Admissions Technician assists in the process for new residents at Mockingbird Hill from application through intake. They facilitate comprehensive clinical assessment by collecting data for individuals who present for a co-occurring substance use assessment and completing required functional assessments. In conjunction with clinical leadership, medical and psychiatric providers,, this role helps determine individual needs and connects them with the appropriate level of care. Furthermore, this role sets the stage for an exceptional resident experience by welcoming new admissions, establishing rapport, orienting them to the facility, introducing staff, explaining the expectations of the program, and completing the admissions process.Information GatheringReview all applicant information as it is received and make contact within 24 hoursEstablish rapport with individual being assessedResponsible for collecting and reviewing behavioral health screensCollect and review collateral information, including recent assessment information gathered by other organizations in a timely mannerCollect assessment data through a phone assessment and document the findings appropriatelyFollow ASAM guidelines for determining appropriate level of careCollaborate with PAS to schedule the applicant for admission once deemed clinically appropriate for admissionAdmissions ProcessWelcome new admissions, establish rapport, and provide reassurance while reviewing the resident handbook and explaining expectations of the programComplete an inventory of the new resident belongings, searching and ensuring that no substances or contraband that would compromise the recovery of the individual are allowed into the facilityPerform point of care drug screens and breathalyzers on all new admissions, recording the results in the EHRAssign a bed on the designated unitProvide a tour of the facility to new admissions, introducing them to staff as well as other residentsParticipate in planned discharges and provide support for the coordination of transportation where needed.When available, provide additional support to staff and residents throughout the facilityAssist clients in understanding and complying with expectations and guidelines of the program.Consistently monitor client's attitude, behavior, and participation in scheduled activitiesEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentAt least one year experience in a addictions treatment setting requiredKnowledge and application of utilizing social service systems (recovery community supports (AA/NA/SMART recovery) food banks, homeless shelters, child welfare, criminal justice systems, and/or recovery residences) highly preferredOther RequirementsDeep personal commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Aspire Indiana HealthStrong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly confidential information with professionalismMust be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team settingDemonstrate respect for client confidentiality practicesMust have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone or in personMust be able to respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situations by using good judgment and following Aspire protocolsSeek guidance and direction proactively to facilitate the successful completion of all job dutiesMust be able to demonstrate effective conflict-resolution and communication skillsMust possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organizationMust have reliable transportation to transport self/others and to attend trainings and/or meetingLearn more about us at Aspireindiana.org, and see our Core Values, Benefits and Current Job Listings on our Careers page.
