This role is essential to maintaining infection control standards and providing a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment for residents.What You'll DoMaintain adequate linen supply for resident care and daily operationsCollect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothingFollow Americare policies and procedures for cleaning and laundry servicesPerform cleaning assignments related to laundry operations as assignedEnsure laundry equipment is used safely and properlyMaintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry areaReport equipment malfunctions or supply needs to the supervisorWork collaboratively with nursing and support staffMaintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelinesPhysical DemandsStand, sit, walk, bend, and change positions frequentlyLift up to 25 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs.Perform repetitive motions related to sorting and folding laundrySafety RequirementsFollow HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal regulationsUtilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredFollow infection control and safety protocolsReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork EnvironmentThis role operates in a Skilled Nursing environment and includes regular interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.QualificationsGrade school education requiredMust be at least 16 years of ageAbility to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workersAbility to follow supervisor instructions in a safe and efficient mannerCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and quality standardsEqual Opportunity EmployerAmericare Senior Living is committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes applicants from all walks of life.
