If you're looking for a career where you're valued, supported, and set up to grow, we'd love to meet you.Job Title: Tire Technician, Level 1FLSA Status: Non-exemptPOSITION OVERVIEWMounting and dismounting tires, flat repairs, and vehicle inspections.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerform tire work (both retail and commercial). Mount and dismount, air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation and flat repairs. Ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.Inspect vehicles as per the VIR training expectations.May recommend safety and preventative services to our customers.Receiving of product into location prior to putting away.Perform vehicle oil changes as per VIR training standards as required.Assist with opening and closing of store, including EOD.End of shift duties completed (cleaning, finishing work)Facility maintenance and clean-up including but not limited to:Sweeping, empty garbage cansAssist in organization of all tire and lube shop related supplies.Parking lot cleaned of debit and/or garbage.Warehouse Organization to include ensuring like tires are together, inventory is faced, rows are clean and tidy and help ensure the area stays safe for operating.Maintains a high level of cleanliness of your workspace including bay areas, Commercial Tire Vehicles, and customer vehicles.Shuttle and/or customer courtesy driver.Assist with phone and counter duties as needed.Ensures that customer satisfaction and communication is of the utmost importance.Other duties as assigned, to include but not limited: oil changes, lube shop support, alignment support.COMPETNECIES AND SKILLSSales SkillsDetail OrientedCustomer ServiceMechanical SkillsSelf-StarterQUALIFICATIONS - Unless indicated otherwise, these are required.Valid Driver's License and Insurable Driving Record.Must be 18 years of ageExperience in a vehicle maintenance shop (preferred).High school diploma equivalent (preferred).
