Principal Ride Technician

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Principal Ride Technician. This role involves frequent interaction with various departments, including Engineering and Creative, to support mock-ups, prototypes, testing, and assembly. The position requires advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge, along with proficiency in CNC programming and fabrication methods. ResponsibilitiesInteract with all levels of staff, from entry-level to executive, to support various projects.Perform basic to advanced shop duties, including mock-ups, prototypes, testing, and assembly.Work directly with engineering and creative staff to determine proper fabrication methods.Produce shop drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Supervise personnel and manage project/design changes efficiently. Basic Qualifications5 years of experience with tool selection, material quantities, material types, fabrication methods, and tooling requirements.Ability to program CNC routers.Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge.Highly dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Ability to jump from one project to another and handle constant design changes. Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in the entertainment industry with advanced industry knowledge.Proficient in reading, interpreting, and manipulating SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawings.Knowledge of KUKA robotics and 6DOF motion bases.Experience with advanced woodworking and machining operations.Proficient in welding and machine parameter setup using GMAW and GTAW processes.Forklift, scissor lift training, and rigging experience are a plus.Ability to collaborate within a diverse team. Required EducationHigh school degree or equivalent. ScheduleOnsite Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PST Friday: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM PST Onsite 5 days per week This role is based in a vibrant city in California, known for its dynamic culture and opportunities in the entertainment industry.
